Love her or hate her, Big Brother Canada's Liza Stinton is doing her part to raise money for cancer awareness, Reality Rally and Michelle's Place!Liza, who was a part of Big Brother Canada's inaugural season in 2013, has set her fundraising goal at an astonishing $10,000. She's damn near achieved her goal already and still has a month to go.
I asked Reality Rally founder Gillian Larson if a reality personality has ever raised such an amount. She replied:

I spoke with Liza Stinton about her extraordinary fundraising efforts for Reality Rally. Here's what she had to say.
I know you lost your father to cancer in 2011. I've lost my father and I know how tough it can be. It's still very fresh for you. Is your father the driving force behind your fundraising?
While my father has always been the driving force behind all of my accomplishments, as I've only ever wanted to make him proud, my fundraising efforts are not driven by the many I have lost, but rather the many we can save.
Is this the first time you have raised money for cancer awareness?
Yes! I attribute some of my success to my fundraising rookie status. At 30, I've never asked my family and friends for anything, so to ask them to support me now in my fundraising efforts for Reality Rally and Michelle's Place has been well received. What I didn't expect, however, was their overwhelming generosity. I have the most wonderful people in my life (family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, fans), and I'm grateful for each and every one of them.
You have impressed everyone by raising $7,600 to date. It seems your goal of $10,000 will be met by April 11th. What have you done to ensure you meet your goal?
$7,730 and counting! This is a lot of hard work. I think about the event every minute of every day. I've even been having trouble sleeping! The key is to reach out to people personally. You can't just post a link to Twitter and expect to raise $10,000. You have to acknowledge the unique individuals in your life and personally ask for their support.
Who are you most excited to meet at Reality Rally?
I'm excited to finally meet Gillian and Lily and Lisa (my handler) and every other person associated with Reality Rally. If is wasn't for them, I wouldn't have a charity to raise money for. The teenager in me is also pretty excited about Richard Hatch and Tina Wesson - they are Reality Royalty and I might have a fan girl moment. LET'S KICK CANCER'S ASS!!!!
