BBCan is down to the final 3 as Heather is evicted!

nominationsCould it be a $100,000 mistake?

Jon voted out Heather on Wednesday night’s episode of Big Brother Canada, thereby keeping Neda safe.

But here’s where it gets interesting: Neda, Jon’s closest ally and BFF, is the only competitor left in the BBCan house who has a shot at taking the grand prize over Jon if she ends up sitting beside him in the end. By leaving her in the game, Jon has jeopardized his shot at the gold ring (which might, ewww, be lightly coated with Twistos dust).

Oh, and don’t forget that Sabrina is still in the running . . . for second place. Let’s not kid ourselves: if girlfriend makes it to the final two, she should get down on her knees and thank the reality-TV gods for the $20,000 for finishing second. As a member of the First 5, Sabrina was a player in the early days of Big Brother Canada, but she’s been floating along in the second half of the game.

She’s still in the running by virtue of winning her one and only Head of Household last week. Sabrina nominated Jon and Heather for eviction, but Jon won the Power of Veto. This, despite the fact that the three females were gunning for him in the competition, which played out in a life-size board game. No matter, he powered through and took the prize.

Neda was neck in neck with Jon during the PoV, but realized that losing put her in a winning position. That way, she didn’t have to choose Jon over Heather, thereby possibly jeopardizing her jury vote.

Jon was also thinking ahead. He straight-up told Heather that he was going to choose Neda over her. “Really, she’s my friend, but she’s also going to be a jury member,” he reasoned, so there is no sense in blindsiding her or lying.

The bubbly blond from Edmonton knew what was coming, and asked if their final two deal was real or not. “As real as mine and Neda’s,” Jon told her, but said it’s better for his game to move forward with Sabrina and Neda. Comforting hugs and head kisses follow, but we left the scene watching Heather sob into a pillow.

After Heather was evicted, the final three pulled their best “Oh s..t!” faces when host Arisa Cox told them the finale is tomorrow. “Tomorrow!“ they shouted in unison. And no time for dilly-dallying, they had to make their cases to the seventh member of the jury tout suite. (Psst! The seventh jury member is you! Sabrina reminded everyone that Canada put her up for eviction when we had the chance. Not the smartest move, methinks. To be fair, she also pointed out that she was on the block six times this season, yet managed to make her way to the final three.

After telling viewers how good we all look “cute as a button, every single one of you,” she went for the heart and the head: she first watched Big Brother when she was a nine-year-old immigrant to Canada, barely able to speak English. She made strong moves over the course of the season and was “never in a position of danger” because of her gameplay.

Jon unleashed his charm with a smile and a genial, “Canada, where you at?” He pointed out that he came into the house not knowing the history of the game, so he studied up on how other people were playing it. He overcame a separated shoulder to become a physical and social threat, taking out Andrew, Arlie and Adel with some help from his allies and winning ways with HoHs and Vetos.

So that’s that. Our final three. If the show stays true to form, Thursday night’s finale will see the trio compete in a three-part Head of Household competition, with the winner deciding who will go to the final two with them. Then it’s up to the jury to choose who gets the grand prize. And as dramatic as it was, there is no way that last year’s debacle in which Topaz cast the wrong vote to give her nemesis Jillian the win will happen again.

Who do you think will win? If Jon and Neda make it to the final two, who will win? Who should win? Is Sabrina even a factor in all this?
