Double Eviction: Sarah & Kenny Sent Packing!

w-allison-and-sarahIt’s a one-two punch for the tightest pair in the Big Brother Canada house as both Sarah and Kenny are given the ol’ heave ho in a double eviction this week.

Sarah, the mother of two from Vancouver, is the first to go and she sees it coming. Arlie, one of her buddies in the First Five alliance, laid it out for her earlier this week. He’s been playing both sides of the house, but “comes clean” to Sarah, letting her know that he’s no longer got her back. “You going to give me a hug?” he asks after telling her she’s on her way out. Uh, not so much, dude.

She handles it better than Sabrina, however, who goes into Defcon-1 when Allison admits she is going to play the numbers to stay in the game. And that means she will be on the other side of the house from Sabrina. Sabbie, of course, breaks down in tears. “Me, me, me!” “I! I! I!”
That’s not everything that’s gone down in the BBCan house this week, though. The newly formed alliance of six (Neda, Jon, Arlie, Adel, Heather and Allison) christen their union “The Sloppy Seconds” and thus secure themselves a place in reality-TV Hall of Fame.

Neda ups the gameplay by scheming to keep Kenny weak for the HoH competition. He’s on slop and can only eat the stuff by slathering it with condiments. So Neda sneaks into the kitchen in the middle of the night and throws out everything from ketchup to maple syrup. “I thrive on chaos,” she crows to the cameras.

But the biggest move of the week goes to Kenny. The houseguests are sharing TMI out at the hot tub, outing their alliances left and right. The model from Montreal (and Newfoundland) decides he’s going to top them all. “F..k it, I’m gay!” he tells everyone as they laze about. Lots of dropped jaws and head shaking ensue, as do hugs. They’re amazed at his ability to keep a secret, and Rachelle connects the dots to the logical conclusion: “What else is he capable of?”

Kenny, for his part, admits to the cameras that there’s some gameplay involved in his decision to come out to his fellow competitors. “I am getting some traction with the houseguests again. “

After winning the Power of Veto, Kenny takes himself off the block, which is when Heather puts Sarah up in his place. Allison chooses to put her faith in the numbers and not use her super-duper-secret Hidden POV that allows her to quash a nomination. (It’s good for one more POV ceremony and she can use it even after the regular POV if she wants to. Bam! That should keep things lively next week.)

So that means Sarah is the one to go, with Adel, Jon, Arlie and Neda voting to send her home, while Kenny, Rachelle and Sabrina cast their votes for Allison. After Sarah says her goodbyes, the remaining houseguests learn that this is the first double-eviction of the season. Neda wins the Head of Household competition and nominates Rachelle and Sabrina.

At the PoV competition, Kenny isn’t selected to play, leaving him wide open to a backdoor eviction, which is precisely what happens. Arlie actually hustles (for reals!) in the contest and wins the power to change the nominations. He takes down Rachelle, which means Kenny goes up . . . and goes out the front door in a vote of 4-1.

So, what did you think of all the action this week? Was taking Kenny out the smart move or the easy one? Did Arlie make a fatal mistake by showing that he is actually a capable competitor? Who will be the first to turn on their alliance this week? Share your thoughts below and come back Friday morning for my interviews with Sarah and Kenny.

  1. Not even close to the tightest pair. Both Andrew and Allison, and Jon and Neda were/are closer than Sarah and Kenny were.
This HOH is a wash because Jon will continue to just pick off the other side of the house, so Sab or Rachelle will go home. Next week is huge because Rachelle will be the only person left on that side and someone else will have to go on the block from within the alliance.
