Winnipegger heading to BB Canada house

A made-in-Manitoba "superfan" is among the last five contestants revealed for the upcoming season of Big Brother Canada.

Johnny Colatruglio, a 26-year-old I.T. project manager from Winnipeg, is one of 16 reality-show fame-seeking Canadians who will be bunking in the Big Brother Canada house when the series' third season premieres March 23 on Global.

Described in his network-issued bio as boy-crazy, attention-loving and the owner of a dog named Veto, Colatruglio proudly declares that he has watched every season of both the U.S. and Canadian versions of Big Brother.

"I’m a live-streamer, a blogger, (in) the Twitterverse, the whole nine yards," Colatruglio says in the introductory video on the show’s website. "I’m living the dream. This is a superfan’s dream, to actually move into the Big Brother house."

His video commentary also offers a hint about his Big Brother strategy: "I think my goal going into the house is going to be really to get to know everyone really well on a personal level," he says, "and really figure out our similarities and commonalities, so I can take those, build really strong relationships, and use that to further myself."
