Last night, a twist rocked the “Big Brother Canada 3” house, and Risha Denner and Sindy with an S Nguyen were both put on the block. However, Sindy managed to score the Power of Veto, and in turn she then placed Pilar Nemer up in her place.
We already said in our episode review last night that we don’t necessarily love the twist, mostly because it does not really offer up time for strategic thinking. With that being said, we have to go with what the show is giving us right now, and therefore are going to try to solve one simple question here: Who should you evict from the game? We’re not going to tell you which way to vote, even though we do have a personal leaning. Much of it is going to depend heavily on what sort of game, or what sort of live feeds, you want to see.
Risha Denner
Pros - She’s likely to cause a whole lot of drama, and be an intimidating force in the house. She’s also got that fish-out-of-water vibe as the oldest contestant this season; however, we’re not sure that we’ve seen a contestant at least on “Big Brother Canada” who is similar to her. There could be some very interesting stories that are told here.
Cons - Her fashion is probably not that appealing to many of the more conservative viewers, or those who just don’t want to look at that kind of cleavage. Also, her personality is going to be polarizing, and we don’t see her creating as much crazy humor on the live feeds.
Pilar Nemer
Pros - She wants to be the next Talla, and she’ll probably be very fun on the feeds. Those who want craziness of the best kind will probably want to keep her around. Also, she has a geographic advantage in that she is the only person this season currently living in one of the eastern provinces (Willow lives in Alberta). That could get her a unified voting block.
Cons - We interviewed Pilar before the game, and she really could not give us much more than a few words as an answer in between laughing (she was probably the hardest to interview). If you are watching for strategy or for competitive gameplay, we’re not sure that you are going to get that from her.
If we had to endorse someone to stay, we would say that we’d prefer Risha to stick around, mostly because we feel like we’ve already seen some contestants like Pilar before, and Risha gives us a better chance to see the narrative shift in some way. With that being said, we feel that Canada will vote to evict Risha and keep Pilar. It almost reminds us of “Big Brother 1″ in America, where more of the lightning-rod characters were voted off early by the public.
