Big Brother Evicted HG Raul Manriquez can't wait to see Mitch after eviction

This season of Big Brother Canada has yet to air an episode that hasn’t focused on the much-hazarded “unbreakable bond” of the Third-Wheel Alliance, as Jared Kesler, Kelsey Faith and Raul Manriquez have continued to dominate the BBCAN Grand like a pack of loyal cool kids, week after week. But following a number of successful days spent overcoming surprise double evictions, hectic wildcards and sworn enemies, the power alliance finally crumbled, ending with the eviction of 21-year-old fashion stylist Raul, following a landslide vote of 6-1.

“I was feeling prepared and ready,” Manriquez told Postmedia Network, in good spirits following his eviction. “I knew I was going to get out of that house. People were really scared of me and I was a big threat in the game. But I feel happy to finally be in the outside world.”

It was bold blondie, Maddy Pavle who took the major blow at the dominating threesome this week after nabbing her first Head of Household competition. And while Raul wasn’t put on the block initially, his surprising decision to help ally Jared secure his own safety eventually backfired when he was put up as Jared’s replacement nominee. Once again, Kelsey and Raul were up for eviction side-by-side, but this time, the Calgary-based fashion guru wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty and campaign against his best friend in the house.

“It was fun. I felt the rush of the game in my blood,” he said regarding his campaigning strategy. “There was a lot of adrenaline going against my best friend. Even though they know I love them so much, our friendship is strong enough to know that this is just a game and it was fun to do.”

Either way, Maddy’s major mission to eliminate one part of the “three-headed monster” ended successfully on eviction night, when the house chose to oust Raul, who was the bigger competition threat. But despite the tense week, Raul understands why Maddy made the moves she did.

“I think she wanted it on her resume so if she makes it to the end, she can say that she broke that bond. Essentially everyone in the house was scared of us because we were so loyal to each other so I think that she just wanted to be like, ‘I was the one that broke them. I was the one that sent them home.”

Raul now joins Mitch Moffit in the Big Brother Canada jury house, after his exit at the hands of Raul last week. While it could make for a tense discussion, Raul is ready to have his friend back. “I’m so excited. I cannot wait to see ‘Mitch Muffin’. He’s such a good friend of mine and I know he understands how to separate friendship from game. He’s totally going to be like, ‘I told you so’ but to be honest, I can’t wait to have that friendship again.”

Big Brother Canada airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on Global.
