'Big Brother Canada' Loveita helps out former rival before eviction

How do two Big Brother Canada rivals become best friends? Easy, just evict them both on a fake double eviction night and stick them in a secret suite for an entire week, offering a chance to hash out their differences and come up with a major strategy so one of them could re-enter the house at the end of the week.

That’s precisely what happened when former foes Loveita Adams and Kelsey Faith made their exit from the BBCAN Grand and shacked up in complete solitude. And although it was Kelsey who re-entered the house during Sunday night’s episode of BBCAN4, Loveita has nothing but good things to say about her new friend, as well as her experience inside the Big Brother house.

“Kelsey is my number one girl. I am rooting for her,” Adams told Postmedia Network following her elimination from the game this week. “I meant what I said when I told her to go get it. I want her to do well. I’m happy for her.”

It was all up to the houseguests to unanimously decide to let either Loveita or Kelsey back into the house following a double fake eviction the previous week. After a quick deliberation, Kelsey’s social game gave her the edge over the 25-year-old Fort McMurray CEO and she was able to pick her game back up where she left off, but with some major help from her former nemesis, Loveita.

“I knew going into the suite that Kelsey and I were going to make peace, because I was aware of a lot of things that Kelsey wasn’t aware of. I felt that if I were to open up to her and share some truths that she had been missing, that she would have an understanding of why I was playing the game the way I played it,” she said, in good spirits. Once the two got passed their differences, the women realized they had a lot to offer each other, including intel on alliances, strategy and how they could go back in and win the game.

“We recognized that this was a complete misunderstanding. If we had worked together from the beginning, we possibly could have won this, because what Kelsey lacked, I had and what I lacked, Kelsey had. So being able to put our minds together, we were able to come up with a plan for both of us in the event that I went in or she went in.”

Although disappointed she wasn’t chosen to re-enter the house, Loveita is mature enough to realize that Kelsey has the better chance of making it farther in the game, thanks to the friendships she made in the house before her eviction.

“I feel like Kelsey is going to do better, because she would have more success speaking to Jared (Kesler) and Raul (Manriquez.) Whereas, if I was back in the house, Jared and Raul would have to get over the fact that Kelsey’s gone and rebuild trust with me. Kelsey would have a better shot at things and I think that she’s going to play out the scenario as we discussed it.”

Big Brother Canada airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on Global.
