'Big Brother Canada 4': Jared wins Power of Veto!

We said after our review of tonight’s “Big Brother Canada” episode that if Mitch really is as fantastic a player as he comes across on the surface, then he will find a way to get him out of this massive bind.

Unfortunately, his road just became a little bit more difficult, as it now appears as though Jared won the Power of Veto this weekend. As a result of that, it feels incredibly likely that we’re going to see both Mitch and Joel stay on the block. We do think that Mitch is a very skilled social player, but this is a tough draw for him. Joel is a super-sweet, likable, and endearing person, and as a result of that he is the sort of person who some of the other people would want to keep in the house.

If Mitch does go home here, is he the most screwed-over person in the history of the show? We’re willing to argue that he’s up there, given that had Kelsey not re-entered the game he seemed to have almost the entire house on lock. Even after Kelsey returned she still had to push Raul to see that he was playing several different sides of the house. Still, we would have Bruno still #1 on the screwed-over list, mostly because Brittnee won a power that was based almost entirely on Canada’s vote, and he really had no time whatever to fight to save himself via the Veto or anything else. Also, it was later in the game.

We’ll see what happens over the next few days, since anything can still happen…
