‘Big Brother Canada’ Unexpectedly Moving To New House After Only 1 Season

e368b2a931d31ad7b176001afdd85109Although the “Big Brother Canada” house appeared to be a technological wonder, after only one season of the series, “unexpected circumstances” have caused the entire production to move to a new location for season 2 of the reality show, according to an Oct. 31, 2013 TV Grapevine report.

The report indicates that the maiden house, located in Mississaugua, Ontario, had 50 microphones and 64 cameras throughout the residence, with “a sophisticated light system in the back yard that mimicked the sun as it moved through the sky.”

According to Grapevine, despite casting being complete for the upcoming season, the new location for the “Big Brother Canada” house has not yet been revealed.

Season 2 is slated to begin in March. 2014 and will include 13 house guests slated to stay in the new house for approximately 75 days.

Unlike the American version of "Big Brother" in which the winner is awarded $500,000, Canada’s winner will receive $100,000 Canadian dollars (about $96,000 USD).
