Becky having a bad toe is suddenly breaking news.
The funny thing is that if she really tried, maybe the toe could be the best thing to happen to her strategically. Remember, Tyson on “Survivor” may have been helped stay under the radar thanks to an injury, and Jon Pardy on “Big Brother Canada” had something rather similar happen to him. The reason to get rid of Becky is because she’s good in competitions … but we still think she’ll be gone regardless. Johnny Mac has worked hard to ensure that he will be more of an ally to Austin and the twins in the future, and they have a ton of control over the vote this week.
Last night, John and Becky did spend a little time talking about the game, and he made it clear to her that his plan is to continue working with Steve, even if he’s never been as forthcoming with information to him as he has been with her. The biggest targets after the next Head of Household competition are going to be Austin, the Twins, and Vanessa, unless either Johnny Mac or James is suddenly targeted.
Ultimately, it is the closeness between Meg and James that is keeping John and Becky more or less at arm’s length from them. They know that they could be worked with, but at the same time you don’t want to be in the final three with them. This is why you’ve got John and Steve looking at doing something right now, and why it would probably be in John’s best interest if, somehow, he and Vanessa could get on the same page for a few weeks. He can’t trust her forever, but she’s not so locked-in to working with anyone as James and Meg are to each other.
