After 29 days in the Big Brother house, it was an amazing race out the front door for Jeff . He hustled hard to get the votes to stay, but he ultimately sealed his fate after he tried to rally against Shelli and Clay, and then there was no coming back from it when Austin caught him under the covers with Liz. We chatted with the 26 year old from Tampa, Florida , who previously competed on the last season of The Amazing Race, for 5 questions after his 7-4 eviction.
ET CANADA: You put up a good fight last night and it looked like you had a good shot to stay going into the vote, what did you think your chances were?
JEFF: You know man, I honestly thought that I had a good shot at winning some last minute votes over with people that...like just some random people. Like I was trying to gather you know a vote from Becky, I was trying to get one from Steve. I mean I was trying to play all cards I could with smoothing over Shelli and Clay, which I ultimately knew that if I was going to stay in the game, then it was going to be their votes that allowed me to stay or forced me to leave, and unfortunately I still think it's true you know, I didn't get their votes and that's why I'm gone.
ET CANADA: Why were you campaigning so hard with Austin if you knew there was this jealousy thing going on? And After seeing his goodbye video, what do you think of his Judas alter-ego thing?
JEFF: Dude I think it's even more pathetic than I originally imagined. The guy is a complete tool, I always knew he was a snake in the grass. As far as campaigning, it was more of a strategic thing because I already knew I'd have his vote. James straight up told me "Hey Austin said he's voting for me," so I knew I wasn't going to be able to sway his decision, but I wanted to create the impression that I was trying hard to get on his good side and to just build a little bit of rapport at the very end in the event that I did stay in the house, that way he thought "well maybe Jeff's a good guy, maybe Jeff's on team Austin," when in reality I knew that he was a scumbag and he was basically dragging my name in the mud the whole week.
ET CANADA: When it comes to Liz, do you think she was playing you or was she genuine?
JEFF: You know what man, that's actually a really great question that you bring up. I really don't think Liz Number Two was playing me but who knows what Liz Number One was doing because she was just so cold with me just...I never even had a genuine conversation with the girl, but that's how I knew that there were twins. I'm like "okay this girl either is schizophrenic and crazy, or she has a twin sister," and that's when I started noticing physical differences and I'm like "okay there's a twin." And so I think that Liz Number Two was very genuine with me man, like she was extremely flirtatious, she went out of her way to even entertain topics about Austin that were kind of making fun of him and degrading him and his game play, and so I really think at the end of the day she voted for me for a reason. She knew that I wasn't against her and I was a genuine person in the game to have on her side. I actually had a pretty big crush on her. We obviously flirted quite a bit and I actually thought she was a really sweet girl, she really was, and at the end of the day she was a sweetheart but she was just too caught up in Austin.
ET CANADA: So your other girl in the house was Jackie, but you two hardly played together. Do you regret trying to create this illusion that you weren't as close as you are?
JEFF: Not at all man, that's the thing I don't have any regrets about my game honestly. The game of Big Brother is so complex and so dynamic and I think that if anyone else won that challenge, which Vanessa no offense to her, she's not capable of winning really any HOH challenge except for something completely random like that, so it was just the luck of the draw. I got the wrong HOH and it had to be paired with Austin which made it ten times worse, but I think that it was just that man, it was just the luck of the draw, but I think my game playwas like completely on point and maybe I'm tooting my own horn but I thought I was playing a stronger game than the majority of the house.
ET CANADA: You really put on a good performance when you went crying to Shelli! Nice Job! How do you think her and Clay will do next season if CBS asked them to compete on The Amazing Race?
JEFF: Dude I honestly thought I had her that's the thing! And no I don't have a prouder moment man, like do you know how much energy that took to like even come out with that? That was a Grade A performance, they (CBS) might as well just go and cast me for a soap opera. If they go on the amazing race next season? Dude honestly, I don't think they're going to do too well because I started to notice their relationship is a one-way street. She is running the show, he just nods, smiles, looks good, and agrees and she just calls all the shots. The communication, I don't know if it's at a level where they're going to be able to work together, I can see them having a lot of arguments. She is an OCD control freak and when it comes to The Amazing Race you can't have that.
