The all-male Big Brother 15 alliance consisting of Nick, Spencer, McCrae, Howard and Jeremy is basically kaput after Thursday night’s eviction episode, where Spencer and McCrae both voted against Nick. Pair those two with five other votes, and Nick officially secured his status as Big Brother 15′s second evicted houseguest — second only to super-coifed surfer David.
How could Nick have fallen so fast? He had a solid dude alliance. He had two girls desperately fighting for his love (Jessie and GinaMarie). He was a smart player. He had cool sneakers. The man was on top of the spy camera show world.
Turns out he wasn’t really the smartest player, betraying the mighter-than-you-might-think MVP Elissa (that girl is not going home any time soon). And turns out the Mom Squad alliance formed by fellow nominees Elissa and Helen found enough womanpower to take hold of the house and shake Nick out of it.
After 20 minutes of agonizing houseguest back-and-forth, and an awkward segment where host Julie Chen addressed the disturbing amount of racism going on in the house this season (Aaryn and GinaMarie have already lost their real world jobs as a result of their various rants), the votes finally came down:
Jeremy: Elissa (no-brainer)
Kaitlin: Elissa (duh)
Andy: Nick (yep)
GinaMarie: Elissa (uh-huh)
Judd: Nick (OK)
Spencer: Nick (shocking)
Jessie: Nick (ouch)
Howard: Elissa (no surprise)
McCrae: Nick (wowza)
Amanda: Nick (deal is sealed)
Candice: Nick (beyond sealed)
Elissa once again got the last laugh. Helen the pawn managed to accomplish her mission — as did the rest of the women in the house battling the not-so-brawny Moving Company.
Poor Nick. Oh, and poor GinaMarie; not only did she lose her job, but now she’s lost the boyfriend she never really had.
Nick’s biggest mistake: Trusting Spencer and McCrae, who turned their backs on him — and the Moving Company, which is basically non-existent already since its mastermind is gone. Worst alliance ever.
Now, angry man Jeremy will really have to get a move on if he’s going to figure out how to stay in the house. After a quick Q&A-style Head of Household competition, mama bear Helen won the coveted title — and Jeremy can bet his last shirt (oh, wait, he doesn’t wear shirts) that she will nominate him and probably his showmantic partner Kaitlin on Sunday.
Move along, Moving Company; mama’s got a new alliance.
