Celebrity Big Brother 2015 winner James Hill says victory still feels "surreal"

Celebrity Big Brother 2015 winner James Hill has spoken out about the final saying it still feels "surreal".

James topped the public vote with 45% last week to be crowned the champion of the UK v USA series just ahead of pal Austin Armacost.

Speaking a week after his victory, James said yesterday: “I never thought for one minute I would win it. Before I went in there, I wouldn’t have even called myself a celebrity."

He continued: “18 months ago I’d sit at home and watch it – never dreaming of being in the show, let alone winning it.

“It’s shown me that things are possible if you work hard, believe in yourself and you’re a trier.”

In a chat with the Daily Star newspaper, James said he was enjoying "being in the public eye" again but was taking his celebrity status seriously.

“Being a celebrity or having a high profile is a responsible role,” he told the tabloid. “You have a lot of people inspired by you – you are a role model.

“It’s your job to set an example to the people who support you and look up to you.”

As for what's next, James says he has some potential investments line up plus a book deal in the works and you can buy his 2016 calendar now.

Celebrity Big Brother on the other hand returns in January to Channel 5.
