The day after Nick & Phil Paquette were named the winners of Big Brother Canada 4, I headed to the backyard to do extended interviews with the entire cast.
I caught up with Mitchell Moffit in the Have-Not Room and we discussed his time on the show. I immediately grilled Mitch about his exit from the show and how he told his fellow houseguests that he would vote for any member of the Third Wheel alliance (Jared, Kelsey and Raul) if they made it to the end. Despite that assertion, when Kelsey made it to the Final Two, Mitch did not live up to what he said voted for Nick and Phil to win.
I asked him to explain why he decided to do this. We also chatted about the lack of killer instinct in the house this season as I explained to Mitch that I felt like many of this season’s contestants were not taking ownership of their brilliant moves (citing Tim as the best example).
Mitch explained that the reason for this was the fact that the houseguests were afraid of how they might be perceived by Canada. In addition, we discussed the presence of twists in the game andI asked Mitch if he held any ill will about the fact that he was playing a perfect game until Kelsey returned as a wildcard.
Mitch explained why the house refused to target the brothers until it was too late and why he didn’t align with Tim.
