Schedule for Celebrity Big Brother 2016, plus, is Darren Day entering the CBB house?

Everything you need to know about the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother, including which celebrities you can expect to see entering the house

What could it all mean? The new Celebrity Big Brother logo

The latest batch of Z-list celebrities may have left the Australian jungle – but we're not out of the woods just yet.
Yes, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has only just finished (and congratulations to the winner Vicky Pattison) but Celebrity Big Brother is already winking at us from around the corner. And don't be surprised if you see some familiar faces: both Spencer Matthews and Lady Colin Campbell (save us) are rumoured to be lined up for a stint on Channel 5.
It's easy to mock CBB (so I suppose we should) but there have been some memorable moments over the years (remember Jack Dee escaping?) and some equally memorable winners. Here's hoping the new series gets us through the cold, dark misery of January.
Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming series, including when the show starts and which celebrities are rumoured to be entering the house.

When does Celebrity Big Brother 2016 start?

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother gets underway in the first week of January 2016.
Channel 5 are yet to confirm an exact date but last January's series kicked off on Wednesday January 7, so it seems reasonable to speculate that this year the show will launch on Wednesday January 6 2016.

What time and channel is Celebrity Big Brother on?

Celebrity Big Brother will be broadcast on Channel 5.
There is likely to be a one-hour show starting every night at 9pm, followed by spin-off show, Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side from 10pm.

Who will be presenting Celebrity Big Brother?

Emma Willis will present the main show, but will be joined by former X Factor contestant and Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clarke (you see, this show does make careers).

What will the house be like?

Who knows? But according to The Mirror: "CBB has promised a whole new design and theme which echoes the vaudeville theatres of a bygone era.
"The new house will have a decadent, antiquated feel... with some 'unwelcome surprises in store'."
The vintage-looking logo appears to back this theory up.
Apparently, the garden has been transformed into a "Whitechapel-style foggy street scene with a Victorian pub snug". No dry Januarys for these celebrities, then.

Rumoured to be going into the house?

Word of warning: Channel 5 has released a statement saying that any names linked to the show are "pure speculation" but that obviously won't stop us speculating. "Insiders", "moles", "senor telly execs"... this is your moment.

Darren Day

The actor best known for starring in West End musicals including Summer Holiday, Grease, The Rocky Horror Show, Hello Dolly and Great Expectations also appeared in the 2002 series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
A source told The Sun: "Darren's telly dynamite and producers think that viewers will love to hate him."

Spencer Matthews

Poor old Spenny, he didn't last many days in I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out of Here! (very long story but steroids and being chucked out of the jungle just about covers it).
This could be his chance to set the record straight and show the public the "real Spencer". Oh no, sorry, he's been doing that for years on Made in Chelsea.
Anyway, Heat magazine are confident he'll be making an appearance on CBB this January.

Vanilla Ice

The American rapper has already appeared on reality shows Dancing on Ice and The Farm (no, me neither), so it would be no surprise if, as The Sun has reported, he turns up on Channel 5 in January.

Nadya Suleman

Known as Octomum, Suleman became famous in 2009 after giving birth to octuplets.

Dapper Laughs

The controversial comedian who claimed on Newsnight last year that he had killed off his misogynistic character has returned this year claiming to be a feminist. What could possibly go wrong.
A source told the Daily Star: "Dapper is still one of the most controversial performers in the UK and will get viewers watching.
"No doubt he is keen to try and show that his off-stage persona is sensitive and caring.
"But his signing is bound to anger the campaigners who called for a boycott of his shows. He will have to work very hard to win them around."

Jake Quickenden

The former X Factor contestant, who finished runner-up in last year's series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, recently told Radio Times: "I suppose I'd better go on another reality show soon.
"That's what everyone knows me for, might as well go on another one. I might actually win one. I need one that I can actually win."

Other names include:

Stephanie Davis
Bianco Del Rio
Kristina Rihanoff
Gemma Collins
James Lock
Koo Stark
